Hi guys, here's the info for the upcoming performances: 1. M1 Fringe Festival www.singaporefringe.com I'm reccomending 'Above Us Only Sky' by Zizi Azah Bte Abdul Majid Some of you saw her last show 'How did the cat get so fat' which was really very good and awe-inspiring so i feel that this one will definately be a good watch. 26 (Sat) and 27 Jan (Sun) 8pm 27 Jan (Sun) 3pm 75 min (no intermission) Esplanade Recital Studio $19 but because I'm an M1 customer, I get 15% discount whahahahaahaha which means it should amount to $17.15 inclusive of the $1 Sistic ticketing fee. ON top of all that you get to talk to the director and cast after the show!!! So do sign up at the door next to my pigeon hole!!! If you have problems paying, you can apply for the Mama Tang theatre installment plan - no interest! hee.... OK! Next one! 2. Hey drama babies! Here's my first post for 2008! It's going to be an exciting year and we are definately going to have to work HARD!!!! Here's to a good year ahead as the K Productions - Drama Team! First promotional event! Sorry the shows will be in Mandarin only but the purpose of this event definately goes beyond language barriers - save the earth with ART! Do drop by if you are interested! http://www.artivate.blogspot.com/ I'm also looking into maybe getting those of you who are interested to take drama exams that are recognised by higher institutions. This is especially for those of you who are interested in continuing with the performing arts in the future. The exams will definately help in getting you a place in NAFA or Raffles LaSalle SIA. I'm alright with the training bit but it will mean extra training with me on certain days to prepare for exams. (I'm qualified to teach btw. had students who took the LAMDA exams for 4 years before I quit teaching speech and drama) We'll see how it goes... all the best in ur new classes! Ms Tang

In recognition of the achievements of individual ELDDS members, we also have an internal award system

1. ELDDS Outstanding Leadership Award - is awarded to graduating students who have showed leadership qualities and has helped lead the club members for 4 years.
2. ELDDS Outstanding Contribution Award - is awarded to graduating students who have shown outstanding contributions to the club and its activities.
3. ELDDS Artistic Development Award - is awarded to Secondary 2 to Secondary 4 students who have shown a marked development in his/her artistic skills and abilities.

We are the Drama group from Kranji Secondary School, K Productions Drama Team (KPDT). We started off as Kranji’s English Literary Drama and Debate Society (ELDDS) in 2002 but merged with the school’s AVA/PA Club in 2008 to form K Productions. Now, we are known as K Productions Drama Team while the AVA/PA Club is known as K Productions Technical Team. We have over 50 members from Secondary One to Four and we are trained every week by a professional trainer, Mr Fita Helmi and our very own school teacher, Ms Geraldine Tang, who is a Speech and Drama teacher.

Our aim is to provide our members with an all-rounded education in theatre skills.

K Productions Drama Team provides a holistic approach to Drama education. Not only do we train the students on acting, we ensure that our members are exposed to all aspects of theatre, including script writing and even production management. Our club members also learn about lighting and sound, essential elements needed for a possible and successful performance. Students are also taught to direct their own plays. For example, during our recent October double-bill, the play Over The Wall was directed by our very own K Productions Drama Team member who was guided by our trainer. Our students are strongly encouraged to create their own play which allows them to stretch their creativity and leadership to the maximum and most importantly, work as a team. Through excursions and annual camps, we expose our students to different components of drama. Our CCA also hopes to create an opportunity for our pupils to relax and engage one another in a creative English speaking environment. We are always on the look out for students passionate about the Arts.
